Synopsis[]
Novel[]
The story follows Jo Seong-won, who suddenly stops, causing frustration in Danju Nasim-hyeong, who was full of expectations. The urgent sound of a bell alerts everyone. Without looking, Jo Seong-won sends a message to clarify what was happening, but his reaction upon receiving the reply shows his shock at realizing that his identity has been discovered.
Meanwhile, Nasim-hyeong tries to interact with Jo Seong-won, but he is too focused on something else. The story takes a turn when Jo Seong-won approaches a young man and, with a serious expression, throws a lottery ticket at him and requests a position under his master's guidance. This changes the course of the story as we know it.
Hae-ak-cheon's enthusiasm in recruiting talent contrasts with the disappointment of others present, especially Nasim-hyeong. Despite this, choices were made, and some warriors opted for different masters. In the end, four of the six recruits decided to follow Hae-ak-cheon.
With this change, the rivalry and challenges become more intense. Hae-ak-cheon expresses discontent when he realizes that his predictions were not entirely accurate. Song Ja-baek, who is following the events, is amused by the situation.
The narrative unfolds with the introduction of a new character, Jang Mun-ung, head of the royal guard. He has a history with Hae-ak-cheon and demonstrates great skill. Jang Mun-ung secures warriors for Geoakhyeon under the orders of Hae-ak-cheon, who continues to plan his growth and consolidation of power.
The story moves to a scene where the characters prepare to leave the cave where they were living, indicating a change of phase in the group's trajectory. During this movement, Jo Seong-won seeks a moment alone with the protagonist and reveals that he knows his true identity, mentioning details about his origins and his mother.
At this moment, Jo Seong-won unexpectedly attacks, revealing impressive skills and delivering powerful blows. The ensuing battle highlights his mastery of martial arts, using the Hangryong Sipaljang technique, which is only mastered by elite warriors. The intense fight forces the protagonist to react with his own combat techniques, but he quickly realizes the difference in skill between the two.
The confrontation ends with the protagonist impressed by Jo Seong-won's strength, leaving uncertainty about his next steps and the impact of this clash on the unfolding of the plot.
