Novel[]
There was only one person who remained unmoved by Hae-ak-cheon’s bombastic words: his twin brother, Song Woo-hyun. While the others showed surprise, he simply stared ahead with wide eyes. Nanmadodoje Seogalma was shocked and questioned Hae-ak-cheon about his claim that his disciples were better than Seogalma’s. The conversation quickly became heated, as Hae-ak-cheon remained confident in his claim. The pride and rivalry between the masters became evident when Seogalma proposed a match to determine who had the best disciples. The challenge would be conducted without the use of internal energy, allowing only pure techniques to be tested. However, Seogalma scoffed at this proposal, as he knew that his disciples had more experience, giving them a natural advantage. Still, Hae-ak-cheon insisted on the fairness of the duel. Seogalma then made a dangerous proposition: a life-or-death duel. This meant that either participant could be seriously injured or even killed. Seogalma’s strategy was clear: eliminate Hae-ak-cheon’s disciple before he could become a threat. Hae-ak-cheon himself hesitated momentarily, pondering Seogalma’s hidden intentions.
The tension grew when Hae-ak-cheon revealed that he had sensed his disciple’s true potential. He had detected that his student had already surpassed the first-class level, even if his internal energy was not yet sufficient to fully sustain him. Surprised, the disciple realized that his master had much sharper insight than he had imagined.
Hae-ak-cheon gave him a choice: fight to win or give up if necessary. This unexpected gesture revealed a more human side of the master, something that his disciple had not expected. With renewed determination, he accepted the challenge.
Meanwhile, the blood witch Han Baek-ha intervened, questioning the legitimacy of the duel. However, Baekryeonha’s voice, which had remained silent until then, echoed in the room, accepting the challenge. This took everyone by surprise, including Seogalma, who hesitated for a moment before accepting the new conditions imposed by her. Baekryeonha then added a crucial detail: if she won, both Hae-ak-cheon and Seogalma would have to swear loyalty to her and support her. This made the contest even more significant, a battle that could change the balance of power. Hae-ak-cheon accepted immediately, demonstrating that her loyalty lay with Baekryeonha. Seogalma, on the other hand, was reluctant, but realized that refusing would mean losing her credibility and authority. The showdown finally began. Hae-ak-cheon’s disciple, determined to prove his worth, stepped forward and asked Seogalma to seal his internal energy, ensuring that the fight would be fair. Seogalma agreed, but first checked his internal energy, convincing herself that he was indeed at the first-class level. The same process was done on Seogalma’s disciple. Han Baek-ha took the role of mediator, organizing the duel. Song Ja-baek, one of the spectators, expressed concern for Hae-ak-cheon’s disciple, fearing for his life. He sent a secret message to his friend, advising him to give up if the situation got out of hand. The duel was about to begin. Everyone in the room retreated, leaving the combatants in the center of the battlefield. The tension was palpable. The fate of those involved depended on the outcome of this fight. With so much at stake, the ensuing battle would not only be a test of strength, but a turning point in everyone’s destiny.
