Synopsis[]
Novel[]
The episode portrays a moment of intense strategic discussions within the Blood Cult, where the protagonists try to decipher the intentions behind a letter they received. Song Ja-baek, Baekryeonha, and other key characters analyze different possibilities about the true meaning of the message, raising hypotheses ranging from a change in position to a possible trap.
Initially, Song Ja-baek and Baekryeonha discuss the possibility that the letter signals a change in attitude on the part of the Three Great Beings. However, the final answer indicates that the change is unlikely, as such entities rarely change their positions based on a single document. Then, the hypothesis arises that the whole thing is nothing more than a trap to disperse the Blood Cult's resources.
The blood witch, Han Baek-ha, and other executives show interest in the third hypothesis, which suggests that the content of the letter may be a ruse to divert attention from the enemy's true objective. The theory gains strength when it is mentioned that, before his regression, the protagonist was taught to think two steps ahead when analyzing the intentions of his enemies. Thus, he suggests that Baek Hye-hyang may be trying to manipulate the situation to weaken his adversaries' position.
The revelation of another letter adds further complexity to the situation. This message, sent by the Blood King Gu Jeo-yang, informs that neutrality will be maintained until the Chuseok holiday unless Baek Hye-hyang manages to obtain the Blood Demon Sword. This confirms that she is also in search of this powerful relic.
The discovery raises questions about why Baek Hye-hyang postponed the opening ceremony of the Blood Cult. Such an event would mark the cult's reaffirmation in the world of martial arts, making the postponement unusual. The protagonist realizes that the changes since his regression may have altered the natural course of events, directly influencing the battle for control of the Blood Cult.
He recalls that before his regression, Baekryeonha’s survival was uncertain. However, his current presence and the support of influential figures such as Hae-ak-cheon and Seogalma indicate that the scenario has changed drastically. The need to avoid internal conflicts and preserve the advantage gained by breaking the alliance between the Martial Arts Federation and Musangseong becomes a strategic priority.
Baekryeonha, aware that a confrontation with his sister is inevitable, points out that the only way to consolidate his power is by obtaining the Blood Demon Sword. Possession of this relic would guarantee the loyalty of all the cult’s saints, as it is a symbol of unquestionable authority within the organization.
The question remains as to how exactly they will be able to obtain this sword. The answer comes when Jang Moon-woong reveals a poster advertising a Martial Arts Tournament. The competition, organized by the Martial Arts Federation, seeks to restore the morale of its forces after the dissolution of the alliance. The prize for the winner includes the position of Leader of the Blue Dragon Party and any weapon in the alliance's arsenal, implying that the Blood Demon Sword may be among the available options.
The protagonist realizes that in order to secure victory, three of the Blood Cult's members must participate in the competition and ensure that one of them emerges as the champion. However, he realizes that there is a bigger problem: before his regression, a similar tournament was held, and the Blood Cult failed to obtain the sword. This is due to the fact that the Martial Arts Federation always sent an invincible warrior to ensure their victory.
This warrior, described as a true monster, is capable of defeating even two of the Eight Great Masters of the Central Plains in a joint battle. The protagonist realizes that only he and the Federation's top leadership know of the presence of this unbeatable opponent, which puts the Blood Cult in an extremely disadvantageous position. Faced with this new dilemma, he understands that the task of winning the competition and recovering the Blood Demon Sword will be much more difficult than they imagined.
The plot leaves open the next strategies that the protagonist and his allies will adopt to face this challenge. It remains to be seen whether they will be able to find a way to defeat the supreme warrior of the Martial Arts Federation and ensure the future of the Blood Cult.
