The story follows a protagonist who finds himself caught up in a web of intrigue, alliances, and complex relationships within a powerful sect. He has good relations with Baekryeonha and Baek Hyehyang, which arouses suspicions and discussions about a possible monopoly of his influence. Furthermore, he calls himself the "Blood Demon", which raises doubts about the loyalty and intentions of those around him. Sima Ying, a charismatic and perceptive character, does not hesitate to point out these issues, causing discomfort to the protagonist.
The interaction between the protagonist and the Blood Demon Sword also adds an intriguing element to the narrative. He finds himself torn between his responsibilities and the challenges he sees ahead. As he reflects on his role and his decisions, Sima Ying appears, interrupting his thoughts. They share a moment on a boat sailing down the Yangtze River, where the mystical atmosphere of the mist and the sound of the water creates an introspective mood. During this conversation, Sima Ying demonstrates her keen perception by commenting on the changes in the protagonist's expression.
The protagonist tries to remain impassive, but his proximity to Sima Ying provokes unexpected reactions. In a moment of vulnerability, he is surprised by a sudden kiss from her, which leaves him completely stunned. As he tries to process what happened, the talking swords on his head do not hesitate to comment, making the situation even more awkward. The event is also witnessed by Song Ja-baek, who reacts with anger and frustration, feeling wronged for having seen the girl he likes kiss another man.
Song Ja-baek expresses his dissatisfaction in an exalted manner, even cursing the protagonist. However, he soon changes his tone and proposes a new path: becoming a Dharma Guardian, a position of great responsibility within the sect. The protagonist, still dealing with his uncertainties, questions the viability of this decision. Song Ja-baek, however, encourages him to take control of his own journey and use his new status as a Blood Demon to reform the sect according to his convictions.
The conversation between the two results in an ambitious promise: Song Ja-baek and Woohyun will become the protagonist’s Dharma Guardians, ensuring the safety and stability of the sect. To further motivate them, the protagonist promises that if they achieve this position, they will be able to speak informally with him, breaking away from the rigid hierarchy that has existed. This prompts Song Ja-baek to express enthusiasm, despite his earlier frustration.
The story ends with a new sense of determination on the protagonist’s part. He understands that his role as a Blood Demon is not just a title, but a path filled with difficult choices. With allies by his side and challenges ahead, he must decide how to navigate his destiny within the Blood Sect.
