Gu Jae-Yang, the Blood Killing King, was the former Third Supreme Elder/Venerable Dignitary of the Blood Cult before he was exposed for being the Blood Lord and in allegiance with Mu Ak and the Golden Eye Troops by Jin Woon-Hwi.
Background[]
Gu Jae-Yang was one of the few high-ranking members of the Cult to remain neutral during the competition for Cult leader between Baek Hye-Hyang and Baek Ryeon-Ha. Hae Ack-Chun praises him for being one of three martial masters in murim to be able to kill hundreds with just a gesture.
Plot[]
After Second Elder and Fourth Elder, Seo Kalma and Hae Ack-Chun had joined Baek Ryeon-Ha's faction, they sent letters to Gu Jae-Yang and Second Blood Star, Yu Baek, trying to convince them to join their faction. Sometime after both factions received letters from the Elder and Blood Star stating that they will recognize the person who retrieves the Blood Demon Sword as the Blood Demon causing both factions to infiltrate the Murim Alliance to retrieve the sword.
After Jin Woon-Hwi had defeated Mu Ak when he infiltrated the Dual Martial Forces, he hallucinated Mu Ak to gather information from him. Mu Ak then revealed that he failed to carry out the mission given to him by "No Name" because the Blood Lord failed to send one Blood Demon candidate to retrieve the Blood Demon Sword and instead sent both. After hearing this, Jin Woon-Hwi believed the only two suspects to be Gu Jae-Yang and Yu Baek.
Though Baek Ryeon-ha faction had believed Jin Woon-Hwi would be dead since he was kidnapped by One of the four Great Evils, Sima Chak, they still managed to persuade Gu Jae-Yang to join their faction. At the Blood Demon battle, Jin Woon-Hwi made a deal with the two candidates that whoever is chosen by the Blood Demon Sword was to be acknowledge as the Blood Demon. Baek Hye-Hyang had failed the test, but Baek Ryeon-Ha had passed after which Gu Jae-Yang stepped up and declared that legitimacy of blood should be the deciding factor to determine the true Blood Demon. Jin Woon-Hwi then began to accuse Gu Jae-Yang of being the Blood Lord and being allies with Mu Ak and the Golden Eye Troop. Gu Jae-Yang began to deny the accusations and even tried to attack Jin Woon-Hwi but was stopped by Hae Ack-Chun and Dan Wei-Kang. Gu Jae-Yang continued to deny the accusations saying that Woon-Hwi did not like the fact that the sword had chosen Baek Ryeon-Ha but Jin Woon-Hwi then revealed that being acknowledged by the sword does not mean you can wield it. Just then the Blood Demon Sword began the make Ryeon-Ha's veins bulged causing them to burst. Her blood that began to drip on the ground began to release smoke and a foul smell identifying it as poison exposing Gu Jae-Yang. Baek Hye-Hyang, Hae Ack-Chun, Seo Kalma, Sima Young and Jin-Woon-Hwi began to attack him, but he rang a bell that caused the poison in Baek Ryeon-Ha's body to act up and swelling the veins in her head. Luckily, the First Elder placed his hands on her head and used his qi to push out the poison from her body. Seeing his planned had failed, Gu Jae-Yang pressed his blood points and transformed into a Poison Being, summoning a mist of poison to take everyone down with him but Jin Woon-Hwi entered the poison mist and used the Luminous Star Sword Technique to defeat him.
Martial Arts[]
Gu Jae-Yang was an extremely powerful martial master. He was many times considered the most dangerous in the Blood Cultand had reached the highest state of poison mastery.
Poison Being- It is a highest realm of poison martial arts, where entire blood and flesh became poison itself. After reaching this realm martial artist can use a secret technique that combine hundreds to thousands of poisons and adapt into one body to allow the poison to flow within and outside the body making it dangerous to come into contact with anyone. When Gu Jae-Yang had transformed into this state, his body was dyed purple, similar to Baek Oh from Nano Machine.
Illusion Demon Poison- It's the poison that helped Baek Ryeon-Ha to suppress the Blood Demon Sword at first and the one Gu Jae-Yang used to almost kill her. It's one of the most dangerous poisons that exist in this universe. This poison allows to control like a puppet even a peerless experts like a Jang Mun-ryang. Fortunately it was forgotten in depths of history after Gu Jae-Yang death. Probably only formless poison was stronger and more dangerous than this one.

Skull Face Staff- he can use this staff to summon and manipulate poison mists.

- He has a hobby of raising thousands of poisonous snakes.
- It was believed that his close relationship with Seo Kalma was the reason he stayed in Baek Ryeon-Ha's faction, but he revealed to Han Baek-Ha that it was because he did not want a member of the Flying Moon Order to become the Cult Leader.
