Absolute Sword Sense Wiki

Jegal Won-Myung was the general strategist of Orthodox Murim Alliance in ''Absolute Sword Sense'' Novel and Webtoon. He is also known as one of the most intelligent people that ever lived.

Background[]

Jaegal Won-Myung is one of the most formidable figures in Absolute Sword Sense - not because of his physical strength, but due to his brilliant mind and masterful strategizing. Even Jin Woon-Hwi recognized him as one of the most dangerous individuals, a dire threat to himself and his loved ones. He concluded that Won-Myung must be eliminated at all costs; otherwise, the chaos he would unleash in the future would be immeasurable.

Jin Woon-Hwi’s assessment of him was neither exaggerated nor baseless, for Jaegal Won-Myung was the mastermind behind the great victory in the Orthodox-Unorthodox Faction War twenty years ago.

Not only did he orchestrate a clandestine alliance with the previously neutral Dual Martial Forces, cutting off potential reinforcements for the Blood Cult (such as the Flying Crane Moon Order), but he also engineered decisive military triumphs against the forces of evil led by the Blood Demon.

His meticulously planned ambushes allowed the Orthodox forces to crush their enemies faster and more efficiently, ultimately leading to the deaths of the Blood Demon himself and half of the Blood Cult’s top executives. This victory secured a golden age of dominance for the Orthodox Murim Alliance, one that lasted for the next two decades.

History[]

In the first timeline, the Murim Alliance remained strong for a decade after the breakdown of its alliance with the Dual Martial Forces. This was thanks to the unparalleled intellect of Jaegal Won-Myung, one of the greatest strategists in the Alliance’s history. The Golden Eye Troops had already seized control over the other factions, but Jaegal's leadership prevented them from gaining dominance over the Alliance. His presence alone maintained the Murim Alliance’s autonomy and stability.

In the second timeline, following Jin Woon-Hwi’s regression and his deliberate interference in key events, the Golden Eye Troops failed to seize control of either the Blood Cult or the Dual Martial Forces. However, this timeline proved disastrous for the Murim Alliance Woon-Hwi assassinated Jaegal Won-Myung during a scheme to retake the Blood Cult's Blood Demon Sword, removing the keystone of their defenses. Without his brilliant mind, the Alliance was left vulnerable. The Golden Eye Troops quickly infiltrated the faction from within.

Jaegal Won-Myung's death became the pivotal turning point that completely altered history's known from the first timeline. His absence not only created chaos within the Murim Alliance's leadership - allowing the Golden Eye Man to infiltrate its highest ranks - but also enabled both the Blood Cult's full resurgence and Jin Woon-Hwi to operate with far greater freedom.

The sole reason Jaegal Won-Myung lost to Jin Woon-Hwi and met his demise was that even his brilliant mind could not possibly foresee or suspect Woon-Hwi’s ability to commune with blades.
