Moyong Soo is a man who craves praise and admiration, yet he refuses to earn it through hard training or heroic deeds. Instead, he seeks shortcuts to power, exploiting any means necessary - regardless of ethics or the so-called 'Orthodox Path' he claims to represent. He is one of the most rotten, corrupt roots of the Orthodox Murim Alliance.
In the first timeline, he manipulated Jin Woon-Hwi, luring him with false promises: freedom from the Blood Cult, escape from his life as a lowly spy, and a chance to start anew on the 'righteous path.' But it was all a lie. Moyong Soo merely exploited Jin Woon-Hwi’s exceptional deductive skills and intellect to locate one of the Sword Immortal’s three treasures.
Once successful, instead of granting freedom, he delivered a killing blow to the very person who had worked so desperately to reclaim his life. From the beginning, Moyong Soo never intended to keep his word, he saw Jin Woon-Hwi as nothing more than a pawn. He didn’t even bother with excuses; after all, Jin Woon-Hwi was officially a Blood Cult spy, so Moyong executed him without hesitation, silencing the only witness to the Sword Immortal’s treasure. Yet this betrayal backfired catastrophically. It triggered Jin Woon-Hwi’s regression, birthing a second timeline. The consequences were profound: that act of treachery poisoned Jin Woon-Hwi’s heart against the entire Orthodox Murim Alliance in his new life.
